Chemical Resurfacing in Dermatology

The chemical peel course is a detailed study of types of peels and applications in dermatology.  The learner will master the "art" of chemical exfoliation when managing skin diseases, disorders, and aging.  The material provides a thorough and in-depth examination into various peels and applications when treating conditions such as acne, rosacea, and sensitive skin types as well as covers photoaging, bronzing, and aging.  The course provides a detailed study of hyperpigmented disorders and the effects of inflammation when treating various ethnicities and darker skin phototypes.  The practitioner will master how to approach treatment of Fitzpatrick phototypes III-VI with confidence and will be competent in providing optimal patient outcomes.


In addition to various type of exfoliations the learner will be proficient when mastering layered peel applications.  The material covers Jessner and TCA as well as signature peels such as Obagi and VI chemical peels among others and discusses regenerative therapies for optimal healing and patient outcomes.  In conclusion, the learner will be able to identify types of peels and applications and will have mastered the "art" of chemical exfoliation with a synergistic approach.
